WYNDHAM "SEW IN" RETREAT

Three times a year, February, July and November, members of the Guild meet at the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Buffalo Grove for a weekend of sewing, inspiration, guidance, laughing, eating and a whole lot of fun! Sleeping is optional. Participants work on their own projects and, although we do not have a special teacher for these retreats, occasionally someone will demonstrate a new tool or technique. Each person has her own table space for sewing, cutting or planning. Bring all the supplies you need for your projects. Special projects are usually not planned as part of the event, unless the people within the group decide to do so beforehand. These retreats present a wonderful opportunity if you are having difficulty with a project since there are many very talented quilters who attend and are willing to share their knowledge.

The cost to attend the Sew-In is $55 per person plus sleeping room expenses (approximately $90, plus tax, for double occupancy.) A full breakfast for two people is included with the cost of the sleeping room. There is a maximum of four people per room and there will be an additional charge for each additional person. Non-members/guests are welcome, based on availability.

QUILT SHOW TRIP


There will not be a Paducah trip for 2015, but how about the Des Moines AQS show for October 2015?

The show is September 30 - October 3, 2015. We will combine it with a visit to the Missouri Star Quilt Company in Hamilton, MO. I am planning a 4-day trip. Final cost will be available at January 2015 meeting, although the cost will be approximately $400.00 This trip is a 'go'! I have received enough deposits to make it happen, so if you have been 'on the fence' about going, please be sure to get your deposit check and information form mailed in to our PO Box ASAP to reserve your place. Don't be disappointed by waiting too late only to find out that the bus is full!

NON-members may attend, as well. The cost will be the same for members and non-members. This is strictly first-come, first served, so don't delay!
